Collecting Network Data

dopplerVUEThe only way to effectively pinpoint the many events and performance issues that can affect and impair a network is to collect network data from multiple sources within the network. Then that data has to assimilated and displayed in a way that makes network administration easier.

dopplerVUE helps network administrators recognize and visualize where network performance or network events are causing problems by:

  • Using built-in collectors to poll and capture data from across the network, at both the network performance and network event levels.
  • Leveraging network data collection technology built-in to the actual network devices, such as NetFlow, IP SLA, Windows Event Logs, SNMP Traps, and more
  • Automatically starting to poll for commonly used performance metrics at start-up, without manual intervention
  • Automatically listening for network messages that indicate network changes and events

Beyond collecting this data, dopplerVUE displays it in graphic formats that make it easier to pinpoint and troubleshoot network issues.

And, dopplerVUE offers a wizard-based rules system that uses network data to trigger alarms if a network event or performance fluctuation threatens network stability.
